The Standard Grill at The Standard, High Line is looking for candidates to fill the position of Wine Steward. If you have a background in hospitality, and want to learn more about all things wine, this is the position for you! Prior wine knowledge is desired for this position, although not absolutely necessary!
Responsibilities include:
• Restock all wines
• Keep floor stocked with WBG during service
• Assist Sommelier in all aspects of wine service
• Monthly inventory
• Cellar organization
This is a very physical job, lifting and moving multiple cases of wine will be the daily norm.
**Minimum 3 yrs of NYC restaurant experience required.**
Applicants should have great organizational skills and must be detail oriented.
Applicants should have a desire to learn about wine and operational aspects of wine program administration.
Potential for growth into a Sommelier position!
