Description

Key Responsibilities

Runners are responsible for ensuring guests have a positive experience by exhibiting unsurpassed hospitality.  Duties and tasks include:

  • Deliver food orders from kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately. 
  • Prepare To-Go orders.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all food menu items, including how various menu items are prepared.
  • Communicate food orders with Chefs, paying close attention to special requests (e.g., food allergies)
  • Check-in with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take corrective action if any issues arise.
  • Perform cleaning duties, such as tidying up kitchen station
  • Provide guests with information about the Seaport, including giving directions.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of one years’ experience working in a fast-paced/high volume restaurant
  • Desire and dedication to offer impeccable dining service
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing demeanor
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Stamina to stand for long periods of time, including walking up and down stairs
  • Physical ability to lift trays of food, glasses and other objects that might be a part of daily duties.
