Restaurant Systems Support Analyst

The Role:
Looking for highly motivated IT Systems Analyst with experience working with point of sale and enterprise software systems. An ideal person has the demonstrated ability to evaluate complex business and technical requirements and formulate clear, concise documentation. Successful candidates will be strong team players but also able to work independently. Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus. Experience with Data Management, IT Enterprise Systems, and Windows Operating Systems    


What You’ll Do:

  • Manage store system setups and lead troubleshooting and solutioning for failures, providing direction and escalation.  
  • Work with cross functional groups to identify and prioritize use cases for new and existing functionality, establishing project scope, system goals and requirements.
  • Lead development, configuration, and administration of systems, tracking necessary version updates, and implementation of change control rules
  • Provide support for escalations and track issues using ticketing system.
  • Provide menu database planning, configuration, maintenance and quality assurance.
  • Work with cross functional groups to identify and prioritize use cases for new and existing functionality, establishing project scope, system goals and requirements.
  • Investigate and provide solutions for known problems with existing technology equipment and software
  • Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance and system performance. Research and development of new in-store technologies for the effectiveness and efficiency of the restaurant
  • Develop new tools for systems automation and efficiency
  • Working understanding of agile concepts and iterative delivery.

The Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in an IT Systems Analyst role.
  • Experience working with NCR/Aloha or Par/Brink POS.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting complex information from multiple sources
  • Proven ability to lead requirements and design definition sessions to facilitate the development of effective business solutions.
  • Proven ability to write comprehensive, clear, and concise business requirements documents and user stories.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to communicate verbally to technical and non-technical audiences and at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts and some experience with SQL.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Solid understanding of networking and APIs
  • Solid knowledge of Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio).
  • Ability to mentor and lead training sessions on software applications for end users of all skill sets.
  • Hospitality software experience preferred (i.e. POS Systems, Back-Office Systems).
  • Adherence to change management and documentation requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain a stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
