Traveling Special OPS NRO Trainer:

The Role:
The Traveling Special Ops NRO Trainer teaches team members, new restaurant openings, and conversions everything they need to know to be successful in their role. The Special Ops NRO Trainers will work in a full-time capacity traveling to assigned openings across the country. Successful candidates should be engaging and positive leaders and understand how to motivate others. Special Ops NRO Trainers are experts in CAVA operations and understand that successful training during the new restaurant opening process leads to successful opening results.


What You’ll Do:

  • Provide an excellent training experience for Team Members, Trainers, and Managers using the TEACH Method
  • Provide coaching on food quality, food safety, and guest service 
  • Train specific stations - grill, prep, digital ordering, guest service, or cash
  • Lead tastings and demonstrations with new team members
  • Create a training environment where all Team Members understand how to create a great guest experience.
  • Upholds all CAVA standards and exemplify CAVA values, and is a resource to the restaurant team
  • Train hourly restaurant leadership (GEM and CL’s) to participate in the NRO training process

 The Qualifications:

  • This role requires travel up to potentially full-time travel for the designated time period. All travel expenses will be paid, and you will receive a daily per diem
  • At the end of the assignment, the Traveling NRO Trainer will return to an appropriate restaurant level position
  • This role reports to the NRO Lead assigned to the opening
  • NRO Trainers are paid a $1 per hour premium on their current rate while they are in the Traveling NRO Trainer role
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be in good standing in current position and have the approval of current manager
  • 100% Completion of all required CAVAYou courses
  • To be considered for the role, you must be a current certified NRO Trainer who has participated in a minimum of two new restaurant openings.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain a stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
