The Title:

Director of Operations Innovation

The Role: 

CAVA is a fast-growing brand that is focused on delivering quality, healthy food for all. The brand has experienced exceptional growth in recent years and is now looking for a Project Manager who will help take Operations to the next level. This project manager will be laser focused on identifying how we can simplify the Team Member experience through automation, technology, and equipment. We truly believe that if we can make the Team Member experience better, it will translate to more seamless operations and an overall better customer experience!    

Working closely with Technology, Marketing, and the Digital Team, this person will spearhead the delivery of a more modernized and simplified Team Member experience. 

This position is geared for individuals who are creative but also have exceptional ability to understand the pain points in the field and prioritize the most important needs for the business.  This person also has exceptional communication skills and is highly accountable and analytical.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and deliver high quality and efficient operations processes and products to create a seamless restaurant experience from entrance to exit for all stakeholders
• Be the creator and innovator strategy that will take Operations to the next level; make sure the plan is understood, endorsed and has by in from key stakeholders including executive leadership, employees and customers.
• Analyze processes to identify, document and communicate solutions that improve the operational process
• Use all the tools to discover what is needed: discussions, interviews, analysis, surveys, site visits, business analysis, use cases, user stories, scenarios, competitor analysis, task evaluation and workflow analysis and/or requirements workshops.
• Meet with internal stakeholders at different levels to identify areas of innovation
• Identify innovation trends and business opportunities within the market
• Develop a testing strategy to enhance operational execution
• Support test planning, execution activities and work with the Restaurant analyst team to tell the story through data.
• Identify, prioritize, develop and launch new innovative projects to improve operations
• Grow top line revenue by implementing new procedures that increase conversion and check average
• Drive new ideas, presentations and approaches to high-level stakeholders
• Develop, implement, and maintain project plans along with providing status updates 
• Research industry leaders of other organizations to spot trends in innovation.
• Maintain CAVA’s mission, remain consistence with brand and message while optimizing the changes needed.
  
  

The Qualifications:

• Have multiple years of Operations success that has propelled a business to the next level.
• Work in an inquisitive and creative mind that looks for the small wins plus the big pictures to find a process-orientated strategy.
• Have attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through including the flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment that brings vision to life.
• Served as an industrial engineer/restaurant engineer/operations guru that has a solid understanding of innovation and how it should be applied in business
• Unapparelled presentation skills to tell a story of strategy, vision and detailed data across the organization to gain buy in.
• Track record of successful high-level projects that have resulted in long-term competitiveness within their organizations
• See the organization and all the resources of opportunity, from systems, marketing, tech, operations and people with the capability for better experience for all.
• Previous experience in agile methodology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers and subject matter experts
• Ability to travel as needed

       *Restaurant Operations experience preferred but not required

        *Lean 6 sigma training, and/or Master’s degree in business or engineering preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
• Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
• For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
• Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
