Purpose of Role:
To undertake preventative maintenance programme for all golf course buggies and supporting the Head Mechanic in maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building. To undertake greenkeeping duties as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
• To assist in the diagnostics and subsequent repairs relating to failing equipment
• To communicate any needs/problems relating to machinery and repairs.
• To communicate with the Equipment Manager any purchasing needs relating to stock and supplies.
• To undertake repairs of failing machinery and oversee the service area of the maintenance building.
• To maintain all electrical units.
• To undertake welding and fabrication as and when required.
• To undertake the repair of two stroke and four stroke engines as and when required.
• To undertake the general service and repairs of all Greenkeeping equipment.
• To identify part numbers for required parts and order as and when necessary.
• To replace and repair tyres to a safe standard as and when required.
• To assist and advise all Greenkeeping staff with the use and maintenance of equipment.
• To maintain and keep up to date service records.
• To liaise with other departments when necessary and assist with projects in Greenkeeping as and when required.
• To undertake greenkeeping duties as and when required
Greenkeeping Responsibilities:
• To undertake general course maintenance on a daily basis under the direction of Deputy Head Greenkeeper to ensure that the golf course are maintained to the Belfry Brand Standards.
• To undertake bunker maintenance daily including; raking, edging, re-sanding and debris clearance to the required standards.
• To undertake mowing duties on a weekly basis as required and operate the relevant machinery in line with health and safety regulations and operational standards.
• To undertake general mowing duties on a daily basis once competent including; greens, tees, fairways, rough, semi-rough areas to the required standards.
• To carry out other duties that may be required from time to time.
• To adhere to all Health & Safety aspects concerning the department.
