Description
The Little Beet has partnered with Workforce1 and is looking to hire Prep Cooks:
Responsibilities:
• Preparing food items to order.
• Ensuring that guest’s orders are properly portioned and ready to be served
• Carrying equipment, food supplies, and utensils to and from work and storage areas
• Ensuring that foods are properly stored in containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
• Responsible for keeping the work area and surroundings clean using sanitation standards.
• Becoming familiar with new menu items/dishes
• Performing duties in other areas of kitchen as assigned
Requirements:
• At least 2+ years of previous kitchen experience, strong knife skills, and ability to utilize the company recipes.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Ability to utilize a variety of kitchen tools and utensils.
• Recent related high volume BOH restaurant experience is required.
• Possess valid food handling certificate is preferred, or willing to obtain one.
• Ability to lift 30lbs.
