The Baker is Responsible for all aspects of bread preparation and assists the pastry team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Making all breads ensuring freshness and quality.
Refer to daily prep sheets at the beginning of each shift.
Apply professional knife skills, with precision and sharp knives.
Follows recipes and ensures products are consistent.
Communicate with chefs when product is running low before and during service.
Maintain a clean and professional working station; Clean cooking equipment during all phases of preparation.
Proper storage and rotation of all products, FIFO.
Understand and follow all ServSafe regulations.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Culinary School preferred. 2+ years of relevant restaurant experience
Basic Expectations: This is a BOH position and the baker must be able to follow directions from the management team while maintaining a positive attitude.
Language Skills: Must have good working knowledge of the English language - ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
