Bar Supervisor


Description
Ensure that all staff are punctual and the company grooming standards are adhered to at all
times, taking appropriate corrective action when required.
• Communicate and delegate duties to the team.
• Ensure that briefings and handovers are carried out for each shift.
• Keep up to date on all company activities and communicate these to the team.
• Ensure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties are carried out.
• Assist in taking reservations and answering guests’ telephone queries when required.
• Be aware of any legal requirements regarding weights and measures, licensing laws, health and
safety and fire procedures, ensuring these are adhered to at all times.
• Organize the floor with its appropriate section for service.
• Organize staff breaks, ensuring service levels are maintained at all times.
• Deal with any staff problems in liaison with senior management.
• Keeping the team up-to-date about departmental and company activities through regular
communication.
• Undertake ad hoc projects as directed by senior management.
• Follow the procedures for closing the business when necessary.
Guest Service
• Assist senior management in the review and communication of unannounced diner reports and
the initiation of required action.
• Agree and implement actions to continuously improve guest experience and satisfaction.
• Ensure guests requests and feedback, both verbal and written are responded to promptly and
efficiently.
• Recognize and develop relationships with regular guests, with the aim of introducing and
encouraging staff to remember their names and special requests.
Managing Sales and Conversion
• Support the implementation of revenue generation initiatives and follow the budgeted sales
targets.
• Support the delivery and measurement of promotional activities, including staff incentives.
• Oversee the POS system and ensure proper operation in the restaurant by all users.
