Description
Main Duties and responsibilities:

1 To supervise that all beverage orders for the cellars outlet are checked
on a daily basis.

2 To help the headwaiter to maintain par stock of Beverage in Banqueting.

3 To ensure that all glassware and other equipment are ready for service.

4 To ensure personal compliance with Health and Safety, Fire and Hygiene
rules and regulations and to ensure that those employees for whom the
Post Holder is responsible are fully aware of their responsibilities in this
respect and that they comply with them.

5 To ensure that training in all aspects of Banqueting bar work is carried
out and updated continuously in the absence of the Head Bartender.

6 To ensure that staffing levels are maintained in accordance with company
guidelines in the absence of the Head Bartender.

7 To ensure that the quality and quantity of casual bar staff is in
accordance with company guidelines in the absence of the Head
Bartender.

8 To ensure that The Head Bartender is advised of customer complaints at
all times. To ensure that complaints from customers are dealt with
immediately.

9 To assist his/her superior in the execution of his/her duties and/or
responsibilities at all times.

10 To liaise with all other personnel in the hotel to ensure that maximum
use is made of all available resources.

Other Duties and responsibilities:

1 To ensure that he/she carries out all reasonable duties allocated to
him/her to company standards.

2 To help, guide, counsel and encourage all staff whether under your
control or not at all times.

3 To behave in such a way that you become a credit to the company at all
times.

4 To ensure all employees have an understanding of the liquor licensing as
outlined in the Staff Handbook.

5 To attend monthly Banqueting Committee Meetings whenever required
and take minutes of these meetings.

6 To ensure personal compliance with all Health & Safety, Fire rules and
regulations and to ensure that those employees for whom the Post Holder is responsible are fully aware of their responsibilities in this respect and that they comply with same.

7 To ensure that all employees for whom the Post Holder is responsible are
fully trained in their duties and that the agreed Training Plan for their Department is adhered to.
