Description

The Lowry Hotel- Manchester’s Iconic five-star hotel has an exciting opportunity for the role of Marketing and Social Media Assistant. 

**** 32 hours contract - flexible working ***

You will be responsible for managing and driving engagement across social media and increasing brand awareness.  You will need to achieve high levels of customer engagement, website traffic and revenue by strategically analysing all aspects of social media marketing. To carry out duties which support the wider Marketing Strategy and plan. The ideal candidate will have experience of using all relevant social media channels and how to create engaging content.

The role requires a proactive and self-motivated individual, to work with the Marketing Executive and the Director of Sales and Marketing providing all departments across the hotels with communications, marketing both on and offline. 

 

The successful candidate will have:

·         2 years’ experience in a social media and digital marketing is required.

·         Marketing, Communications, Business, New Media or Public Relations degree is preferable.

·         Experience in using Hootsuite or another similar social media scheduling platform.

·         Digital design and brand content - Working knowledge of adobe suite

·         Successful candidates must demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for the role as well as their ability to show commitment to the brand.

·         Proven experience in social media marketing and communications.

·         Working knowledge of website management and SEO.

·         Hospitality experience is desirable.

·         Experience of working within a customer orientated business.

·         Familiar with social media, blogs and podcasts

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role or recent graduate in this field. They must possess excellent relationship management skills and demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines whilst producing work of a high standard of accuracy is also paramount.
