VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING

The Vice President, Marketing will create and oversee the implementation of branding, marketing, and PR strategies for ThinkFoodGroup, its brands, restaurants and products to drive continuous growth, increase profitable sales and communicate an engaging company and brand vision.  Act as TFG brand steward and senior marketing representative of ThinkFoodGroup and José Andrés in all external dealings and partnerships. This position reports to the Office of the CEO.

 

Essential Responsibilities

·         Oversee the creation and management of all branding for the company, its brands and properties – guide the creative direction and messaging for all collateral, presentations, websites and photo shoots; create and ensure adhesion to brand guidelines for all initiatives, and manage outside graphics resources

·         Drive the creation and implementation of new TFG brand identities both wholly-owned and thru our partners, from concept through to opening of first properties

·         Oversee company and brand messaging to create an engaging and cohesive voice across all external and internal channels

·         Direct the creation and implementation of annual marketing plans and budgets covering all aspects of marketing for company, its brands and individual properties, including digital marketing, public relations, social media, promotions, advertising, partnerships and events

·         Create strategy for and direct implementation of launch campaigns for all new restaurant openings and ongoing marketing strategies for all operating restaurants to ensure synergy with corporate mission and maximize marketing effectiveness in each market

·         Create strategy and direct implementation for marketing of ThinkFoodProducts in collaboration with TFP leadership and of TFG books and other content with Content Chief

·         Oversee and evaluate market research, industry and economic trends and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions

·         Drive company’s digital marketing capabilities, overseeing comprehensive strategies for CRM, search marketing, email marketing, promotions and website creation, SEO and management

·         Strategic leadership in evaluating technologies that support, monitor the effectiveness, or otherwise impact marketing activities and the guest experience.

·         Direct all topline PR strategies via PR team to maximize positive, on-brand coverage in local, national and international media

·         Oversee company’s social media initiatives across all pertinent platforms to ensure optimal engagement and brand support

·         Pursue and implement strategic partnerships with like-minded brands as well as government and cultural agencies to enhance visibility for TFG and its properties

·         Provide brand and strategic marketing input for new business development pitches and presentations

·         Foster productive relationships and open, clear communications within team, internally with other departments, and externally with business partners and outside agencies

·         Oversee the professional development and performance of marketing and communications team including two direct reports, Marketing Director and PR & Social Media Director, by creating annual performance goals and conducting biannual reviews of achievement of these goals

·         Work closely with Executive team on business planning, budgeting and future global expansion of TFG brands

·         Create annual marketing budgets, manage costs and assess ROI on all corporate and restaurant marketing initiatives through effective analysis of marketing results

·         Communicate quarterly results and analysis to TFG leadership

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

·         15+ years of experience in modern luxury hospitality, food & beverage or lifestyle marketing

·         Experience to include management, strategy development and implementation and hands-on experience in branding, public relations, social media, digital marketing, events and strategic partnerships

·         Experience with modern luxury hotels both domestically and internationally would be a plus.

·         Experience with marketing and branding of celebrity/personality would be a plus.

·         Experience with retail of gourmet food products in the U.S. would be a plus.

·         Language fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.

·         Must relocate to the Washington D.C. area and be available for travel as required.
