Job Location: DC , NYC or LA

 

THINKFOODGROUP is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Content & Community Manager to join our marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Social Media & Content, this full-time role will be an integral member of our team, responsible for managing social-first content capture, programming editorial calendars, supporting full-funnel content strategy on owned social and digital channels, and acting as community manager across all owned platforms for applicable restaurants.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage daily community engagement, planning and execution across all priority social media platforms.   
  • Act as the content point-person for assigned restaurants, working closely with operators and chefs to ensure social media supports the goals of each restaurant.  
  • Manage social media agency (as applicable) – brief agency on priority activations, approve content, and act as daily point-person between restaurant and agency teams 
  • Develop timely and engaging social media content, and program content calendars.   
  • Create and execute full-funnel strategic plans to support key restaurant activations across social media and digital channels.  
  • Hone and maintain consistent brand voice, look and feel across all content. 
  • Maintain strong digital community through consistent community engagement. 
  • Manage social media reporting to track KPIs, with recommendations for growth. 
  • Schedule and publish content using Falcon.io, as well as native platform tools.   
  • Manage assets and content capture for assigned restaurants, building shot lists, staffing photo and video shoots, and capturing in-the-moment content as needed.  
  • Work closely with PR/Social Agency to identify and host influencers, acting primary contact.   

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

  • Active on social – understand best practices and nuances between platforms and attuned to the latest content trends and emerging platforms.  
  • Experience managing social media for businesses/brands preferred.  
  • Demonstrated strong social media copywriting skills.   
  • Proficient in iPhone/lo-fi photo and video content capture. Experience with more advanced photo and video capture and editing tools a plus.   
  • You are a strategic thinker who is naturally creative – and can develop/pitch fresh ideas.  
  • You bring a test-and-learn mindset to content creation and optimization.  

 

Bonus Points: 

  • Experience in or passion for the culinary or hospitality industry  
  • Experience executing paid social media campaigns across Instagram and Facebook   
  • Knowledge of Spanish language
