Strategic Intent

Manage accounts of 10 guestrooms or more per night to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.


General Duties and Responsibilities

•Move throughout property to conduct site inspections.Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.


•Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.


•Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.


•Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.


•Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition.


•Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.


•Represent hotel at trade shows.Set up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead.


•Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.


•Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.


•Perform any other job related duties as assigned.


Experience and Requirements:
•Minimum of 1+ years direct luxury hotel group sales management experience is required.
•Prior sales experience with key accounts within the luxury hotel segment will be strongly favored.
•Bachelor’s degree in related field is required.
•Computer proficiency is required; must possess experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, and Delphi. Must be familiar with booking software and travel industry software.
•Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (both verbal and written).
•Must possess exceptionally strong and demonstrated presentation skills.
•Superior negotiation skills are required; must be able to persuade and influence key decision makers in the marketplace.
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will accommodate the achievement of all business goals and directives.
