Strategic Intent
In the role of Hotel Manager the incumbent will play a vital role in the daily operations of the hotel and the execution of service delivery. This role has the responsibility of overseeing the operations and assignments of the hotel staff, and assisting the Managing Director in the development, communication, implementation, and monitoring of the strategic goals and objectives of The Watergate Hotel.


General Duties and Responsibilities

•Monitor the day-to-day operation of departmental service delivery.


•Assist the Managing Director in developing strategic goals and objectives for the hotel.


•Ensure that Forbes Training Standards are in place and that all staff are properly trained.


•Make sure that all staff have the necessary tools and equipment to effectively perform their duties and all functions of their job.


•Monitoring the financial and operational plans of the hotel.


•Maintaining positive owner relationships and keeping them informed through regular reports and updates.



Requirements:


Experience and Requirements

•Strong background in Rooms Division and Food and Beverage with proven results.


•Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Administration or Organizational Management, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.


•Ability to manage, motivate, and ensure accountability.


•Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as required.


•Experience working in an independent hotel environment is a plus.
