In Room Dining Server (OVERNIGHT)


Description
Strategic Intent

The Overnight In Room Dining Server will ensure a flawless, world-class dining experience in the comfort of the guest room. The server may also answer day-to-day guest telephone requests for overnight orders, arrange amenity assignments and deliveries, update guests’ preferences, and assist captains in daily operations.

Successful candidates will posses the following skills and expertise:

•2+ years of fine dining or upscale restaurant server experience is required; those with direct server experience in a luxury hotel In Room Dining department will be strongly preferred.
•Must be able to work a very flexible schedule including overnights, weekends and holidays.
•Must be a superior communicator with fluency in English required; those with bi-lingual abilities will be preferred.
•High School diploma is required.
•Must have superior food and beverage knowledge including various ingredients, preparation techniques, wines, beers, spirits and craft cocktails.
•Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job such as: carrying/lifting heavy trays and hot boxes; standing/walking for extended periods of time while on shift; must be able to negotiate stairs with trays and bulky items in the course of service.
•Must possess a polished, poised and uplifting demeanor and be able to engage and enhance our guests' In Room Dining experience.

Experience and Requirements
•Excellent communication skills with fluency in English required.
•Must have superior phone etiquette and ability to work a multi-line phone system.
•Must be able to work a very flexible schedule that may include overnights, weekends and holidays.
•Prior experience with MICROS is required; strong food & beverage knowledge is required.
•Must have superior organizational skills; must have strong multi-tasking abilities.
•Prior experience in a similar role is strongly preferred.
•Prior luxury hotel experience is strongly preferred.
•High school diploma is required.
