Position Summary
The Expeditor is the critical link between the kitchen and the dining room. This role ensures that dishes are prepared, plated, and delivered correctly and on time, maintaining the restaurant’s high standards for accuracy, presentation, and pace of service. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience through seamless coordination.
Coordinate communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth food service.
Review tickets for accuracy, timing, and proper course sequencing.
Inspect dishes before leaving the kitchen to ensure they meet Wolfgang Puck’s quality, presentation, and temperature standards.
Organize and prioritize incoming orders during high-volume service.
Ensure modifications, allergies, and special requests are clearly communicated and handled correctly.
Maintain a clean and organized expo station throughout service.
Assist with running food when necessary and support servers with guest needs.
Communicate effectively and professionally with chefs, servers, runners, and managers.
Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
Previous expediting or high-volume restaurant experience strongly preferred.
Fine Dining experience preferred.
Strong communication and coordination skills; able to multitask under pressure.
Ability to read and prioritize multiple tickets at once.
Understanding of food timing, menu items, and plate presentation.
Team-oriented with a positive, service-driven attitude.
Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
