Job Summary
The Food Runner is an essential part of the guest experience at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill. This role ensures that dishes move from the kitchen to the dining room accurately, efficiently, and with the level of hospitality synonymous with the Wolfgang Puck brand. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Essential Job Functions
Deliver dishes to guests promptly, ensuring accuracy, proper presentation, and warm, friendly service.
Act as the communication bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, coordinating timing and order flow.
Maintain all service, expo, and side stations—clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service.
Assist servers by clearing tables, removing used plates, and transporting soiled items to the dish area.
Support dining room setup and breakdown, including linens, table settings, glassware, and silverware.
Continuously restock service areas with ice, beverages, condiments, and operational supplies.
Notify managers or servers immediately of any guest concerns or issues upon food delivery.
Follow all sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
1 year of runner or support role experience in a fast-paced or high-volume restaurant; casual-fine or upscale dining experience preferred.
Strong understanding of dining room flow, service sequence, and food presentation.
Guest-focused, self-motivated, and able to anticipate team needs.
Must be able to stand and move quickly for long periods.
Flexible schedule—including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Highly organized, with the ability to keep work areas clean and efficient.
Strong multitasking ability; calm and focused under pressure.
Excellent communication skills with both guests and team members.
Works well in a team environment and assists wherever needed.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.

Exposure to heat, steam, busy kitchens, and cleaning chemicals.
