Job Title: Support Analyst
Department: Information Technology
Responsible To: Head of IT
Salary: £ 24,000 – 27,000
Description:
The purpose of the role of Support Analyst is to provide business system support to the company. This role requires a good working understanding of a variety of business systems. The job function includes user support by telephone, email and face to face, as well as proactive system checks and support processes along with project work. You will join a small team and liaise with external suppliers and support organizations that help support the many different types of technology across the estate.
This is a hands-on role which will involve some travel around London and the UK.
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshooting and Fault resolution
• Installation of Computer/Epos Software and Hardware
• Performing regular preventative maintenance on company hardware and software
• Monitor systems to maintain a high level of stability and availability
• Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
• New user on-boarding processes - with associated end user briefing
• Basic user IT Training
• Document and establish policies and practices for effective and consistent operation
Skills:
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
• Excellent organisational skills
• A demonstrated passion for technology with a desire to develop yourself
• Ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, identifying and responding to their needs with appropriate use of technical language
Experience Required:
• Previous experience in a technical role
• Familiar with help desk procedures and change management processes.
Experience Desirable:
• Microsoft Active Directory
• Windows OS - Windows 7/10
• Microsoft Office
• Epos
• Understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Switches, VPN, Wi-Fi)
• General IT infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks etc.)
