Job Overview

Working closely with the General Manager, this role will form a valuable part of the hotel’s executive team. You will be expected to demonstrate a proven track record of driving change, implementing and maintaining high standards and will be a natural leader to our workforce.

We are looking for a hands-on manager with extensive experience in Food & Beverage Operations, Events and Hotel Management with the ability to train, coach and mentor the Hotel Team. You will have exceptional attention to detail with the ability to inspire and motivate the team to consistently push for improvement and a best-in-class service that will elevate the guest experience above and beyond any expectation

Key Responsibilities include

  • Proven track record of coaching and mentoring teams
  • Experience in F&B Management practices and procedures
  • Business mindset with outstanding organisational and leadership skills
  • Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, well organised, and results driven professional
  • Must be an inspirational and motivating Peer, who prioritises team engagement and excels in emotional intelligence
  • An accomplished Leader, able to drive and support the F&B brand standards through engagement with the teams
  • Strong knowledge of legislative requirements including Health and Safety, Food Safety, Liquor Licensing.
  •  Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with the hotel’s policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Help the General Manager in the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotel to ensure optimum guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability
  • Support General Manager in preparing weekly revenue forecasts and annual budget preparation
  • Driving standards across the hotel (uniform, SOP’s etc.) 
  • Holiday cover for the General Manager
  • Supporting the General Manager with internal meetings including daily briefing meetings
  • Responsible for the Health and Safety / FIRE planning and compliance with support from the maintenance team
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills

 

Line Management Duties:

·        Carrying out HR duties, such as interviewing, 1:1’s, appraisals, and personal development of team members

·        Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts

·        Delivering training and coaching to team members. Spotting re-training needs when they arise

·        Ensuring the team’s continual development, taking advantage of any training, workshop, and further education opportunities

·        Appropriate absence management

·        Rota duties, in line with the needs of the business

Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally the candidate is from a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Passionate about customer and people centred environment.
  • Management experience is essential.
