Shift Leaders at NAYA
Shift Leaders lead  daily operations, ensuring that the team is  performing efficiently, guest service standards are met, and food quality and safety guidelines are followed.

  • Operational Excellence: Manage operational tasks such as opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and cleanliness of the restaurant

  • Teamwork: Lead team members, ensuring they perform tasks efficiently and follow company standards

  • Food Quality + Safety: Lead the team to provide delicious and safe food every day and every shift

  • Guest Service: Provide excellent guest service, resolve any guest concerns, and ensure a positive dining experience

  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory during shifts, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste

  • Training & Development: Assist in training new employees, ensuring they are prepared for their role

  • Administrative Work: Complete and submit administrative tasks promptly,  including guest incidents, workers comp claims, manager checklists, cashier/deposit trackers and communication logs. Control cash and receipts through adherence to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of one year of experience leading a team in a fast casual environment

  • New York/ServSafe Food Manager Certification

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

  • A passion for guest service and team development

  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business

  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis and bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day
