People Administrator


Description
20 Stories has become an integral part of the city of Manchester's restaurant scene. Locally known as 'The restaurant in the sky', it has become well known for not only its jaw- dropping 360-degree views but its fantastic menus, beautiful design and for one of the liveliest bars in town. The menu represents its location by showcasing the best of the Northwest, with an aim to source ingredients no more than 50 miles from outside Manchester.

We are now recruiting for a People Administrator to join our People team. Working independently, you will support the General Managers of our locations in Leeds and Manchester with payroll and HR administrative duties. The right candidate must have some Hospitality background and have a good understanding of general HR practices. This role reports into the People Partners with a dotted line to the GM's. Travel between Leeds and Manchester is required.

Key responsibilities and expectations:

Payroll/Finance Administration
• Responsibility for completing the bi-weekly and monthly payroll
• Responsibility for tronc administration on a weekly basis in conjunction with the tronc master
• Key point of contact with Payroll Manager and Centralised Tronc Master to provide staff with a quality payroll service
• To report any variance compared to budget proactively to the Operations/General Manager

HR Administration
• The legal and Employee Relations side of the function will be undertaken in conjunction with the GM, Moorepay and People Partner
• Note taking at probation reviews, investigation, disciplinary meetings as and when required
• Ensure all documentation/administration required for engaging employees is completed with appropriate authorisation on Harri
• Ensure all electronic employees files are kept up to date with all relevant information, certificates issued, etc
• Production of essential letters e.g. changes to terms and conditions, annual pay review
• Update of the payroll system as required
• Ensuring all Right to Work Documents are on file and are updated as necessary
• Add new starters to biometrics
• Send out reference requests for all new starters

Learning & Development
• Arranging for new starters to attend induction
• Monitoring Statutory Training Completion Rates (CPL)
• Monitoring Talking Talent Completion Rates
• Book statutory training
• Updating training records on Fourth e.g. Personal License
