Laundry Assistant | Another Place, The Machrie

Offering monthly tips, use of our Championship Links Golf Course, and an annual £2,598 Islay Living Allowance (paid monthly) for all off-site team.

We’re looking for an experienced and attentive Laundry Assistant to join our laundry team at Another Place, The Machrie.

You’ll have a natural eye for detail, a discreet and professional manner, and the ability to create immaculate, welcoming spaces.

You’ll also take pride in maintaining high standards of washing, drying, and ironing and will be able to work confidently on your own as well as within our wider team.

As our Laundry Assistant you’ll be:

• Collaborating with the housekeeping team to ensure that all linen needs are met.
• Ensuring that all linens meet hygiene and quality standards.
• Ensuring that only the highest quality of linens is circulated within the hotel and removing damaged linen for repair or disposal.
• Creating a welcoming environment so that guests always find clean and inviting accommodation.
• Following all health and safety, manual handling and COSHH procedures.
• Using appropriate PPE when handling relevant linens and chemicals to prevent cross-contamination.
• Working together as part of our committed, efficient and dynamic team.

The skills you’ll be sharing with us:

• Proven housekeeping experience within a hospitality, residential, or guest environment
• A meticulous eye for detail and a genuine passion for creating beautifully presented, immaculate spaces
• Discreet professionalism, confident working independently whilst contributing seamlessly to our wider team
• Naturally organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and maintain exceptional standards throughout the day
• A calm, proactive approach with the initiative to anticipate needs and deliver a consistently refined guest experience
• Strong time management skills and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of your work
• A valid driving licence and your own transport (essential)
• Previous experience of island living, or equivalent (desirable)
