Finance Administrator

This is a newly created role that assumes responsibility for transactional accounting, including daily processing of bills, the preparation of payments, reconciliation of bank accounts. 


Key responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Processing and management of the accounts payable function, including processing bills, preparation of payments, reconciliation of accounts payable, and answering business queries.

  • Preparation of cash payments and transfers

  • Management of Expensify for the US business

  • Accounts receivable collections

  • Recording of cash receipts and payments into the accounting system

  • Daily reconciliations of all bank accounts

  • Monthly reconciliations of vendor accounts

  • Fixed asset record-keeping and accounting

  • Prepayment record keeping and accounting

  • Assist in the period close and management reporting generation

  • Provide/gather documentation for auditors

  • Provide finance support to management as requested

  • Payroll assistance, as required

  • Assistance with local city-based and state-based tax and statutory filings

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, as required

  • Provide backup support to other finance team roles

  • General accounting duties as required

 

Required skills, attributes, and experience

We're looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our team. You will come with:

  • Experience in using ERP accounting systems. COMPEAT experience preferred but not essential.

  • Experience in Restaurant or Hospitality Accounting preferred,

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong computer literacy particularly in Excel

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • A high level of attention to detail

  • Experience in providing a focused service to both internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to understand and become proficient with new software and systems

  • Great organizational and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and in a team
