Commis Pastry Chef

5 Hertford Street is the beautifully appointed private member's club owned and operated by entrepreneur Robin Birley; located in the heart of Mayfair. Our aim is to be a home away from home, in the utmost comfort, where members are looked after by a team who know them by name.

We are currently looking for a Commis Pastry Chef to join the Pastry team.

The company benefits our Commis Pastry Chef will receive are:

The responsibilities of the Commis Pastry Chef are:

  • Completely responsible for assisting with the set-up of station and mis en place, ensuring freshness and quality of food products.

  • Produce finest quality product with a positive attitude.

The Experience & Qualifications required of our Commis Pastry Chef are: 

  • Experience of working in a luxury hotel, restaurant or private member’s club advantageous

  • Previous experience in a similar position is essential; preferable Michelin-star restaurant background


The club is closed on Sundays, Bank Holidays and throughout Christmas each year.
