POSITION SUMMARY
The Bar Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the bar and delivering an outstanding guest experience. This position requires a confident leader with exceptional beverage knowledge, strong organisational skills, and a passion for creating innovative drinks.
The Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing all bar operations, including team training and development, drink menu innovation, stock control, and guest engagement.
Lead and inspire the bar team to maintain professionalism, accuracy, and warmth in all guest interactions.
Develop and maintain an outstanding drinks program, incorporating seasonal cocktails, batching, and bar techniques.
Oversee stock levels, ordering, and cost control to ensure an efficient and profitable bar operation.
Ensure all drinks are served to the highest standards, including taste, presentation, and timing.
Maintain an immaculate bar area, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Develop and implement staff training programs covering mixology skills, service techniques, and product knowledge.
Build and maintain strong relationships with regular and VIP guests, ensuring a tailored and memorable service.
Maintain an up-to-date Bar Manual, including all recipes, service SOPs, and stock management guidelines.
Monitor guest feedback and work with management to improve the bar offering.
Ensure smooth communication between the bar, Front of House (FOH), and kitchen teams.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
Passionate Beverage Expert: Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and bar trends.
Strong Leadership: Experience in managing and developing a high-performing bar team.
Service Excellence: A hands-on, proactive approach with a focus on guest satisfaction and smooth operations.
Operational Expertise: Proficiency in bar management systems, including ordering, stock control, and compliance.
Calm Under Pressure: The ability to handle high-pressure situations with efficiency and professionalism.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for drink presentation, guest recognition, and service quality.
Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English with the ability to engage with guests and work closely with senior management.
Experience in similar role is essential.
