We’re opening a brand-new restaurant in Mayfair, and we’re looking for a charismatic and highly skilled Maître d’ to lead our front-of-house team.

This beautifully designed space will offer an exceptional dining experience, combining high-quality cuisine with outstanding service in a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere from morning to night.

This new opening is the latest addition to BVC Group, which operates a portfolio of innovative, globally recognized food concepts, including NAC, Crème, and Supernova. With a strong presence in London, Paris, and the Middle East, BVC Group is known for blending creativity with operational excellence, delivering outstanding dining experiences across multiple markets.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maître d’ plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional first impression and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations. This position requires a confident and welcoming personality, outstanding organisational skills, and a passion for delivering unparalleled hospitality.

The Maître d’ will lead the host team, oversee reservations, develop guest relationships, and maintain the highest standards of service and presentation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create an exceptional guest experience by ensuring warmth, professionalism, and confidence from the moment guests arrive.
  • Recognise and provide personalised service to regulars and high-profile guests, fostering loyalty and positive word-of-mouth.
  • Lead by example, ensuring all team members maintain the restaurant’s values and deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee guest needs, VIP requests, and team coordination to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Conduct regular training, performance reviews, and mentorship to foster a highly skilled and motivated team.
  • Keep staff informed about reservations, special guests, and key events while ensuring a positive and engaged team environment.
  • Ensure all guest interactions are seamless, managing feedback, mystery diner results, and service improvements.
  • Expertly handle SevenRooms to optimise table allocations, guest profiles, and dining logistics.
  • Identify opportunities for premium sales, event bookings, and upselling to enhance revenue while maintaining service excellence.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Passionate Host: A natural people-person who thrives on creating memorable guest experiences.

  • Strong Leadership: Experience in managing and developing a high-performing front-of-house team.

  • Service Excellence: A hands-on, proactive approach with a focus on guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

  • Expert Organiser: Exceptional administrative and multitasking skills, with experience managing a reservations system (e.g., SevenRooms).

  • Calm Under Pressure: The ability to handle high-pressure situations with elegance and professionalism.

  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for presentation, guest recognition, and delivering a seamless service.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English with the ability to engage with guests and work closely with senior management.

  • Proficiency in French or Arabic is an advantage.

  • Experience in a similar role is essential.
