Summary:
The Dave’s Hot Chicken Franchise Consultant (FC) will support each Dave’s Hot Chicken franchise partner to be operationally and financially successful.
Job Expectations:
The role of the Dave’s Hot Chicken FC is one of influence, support, and follow up. The FC must build a strong professional relationship with each franchise owner and operator in order to effectively support them. The first and foremost focus of the FC is to help each franchise partner to become great Dave’s Hot Chicken operators who have wildly successful businesses.
Duties:
· Support brand excellence by supporting franchisees in all aspects of business
· Protect integrity of the brand by measuring performance in areas including but not limited to food quality, customer service, cleanliness and profitability
· Commit to brand success by being a strong business coach in all areas of sales, profitability and brand standards
· Monitor and ensure accountability for all aspects of restaurant operations
· Enforce brand compliance in all standard operating procedures
· Help build sales and profits through operational standards and compliance
· Support and follow up on company rollouts, specifications and procedures
· Remain actively involved in any location that is inconsistent with the company vision or expectations
· Utilize and respond to the Support Center and resources to drive results throughout the day
· Ensure DHC’s operational standards are followed in each location
· Follow’s up on the Company’s strategic plan and marketing/operational performance standards
· Conducts operational reviews and evaluations including following up with the franchisees in identifying business opportunities and finding solutions to sales and cost controls
· Provides strategic operational support in the areas of service standards; product quality control; training; safety; sanitation and new restaurant openings
· Checks in with restaurant development planning and execution; including sub-market identification; site approval and kitchen design issues
· Follows up with franchisees in developing and executing a systematic training program and provides restaurant opening assistance
Requirements:
· 6 or more years of Restaurant Operations Leadership in a multi-unit capacity, ideally within Quick Service Restaurants (QSR)
· BA/BS Degree preferred
· Must have a valid Driver’s License
· Knowledge of restaurant, hotel, or other hospitality industry operations, challenges, legal rules and guidelines
· Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
· Outstanding communication and people skills
· In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
· Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
· Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels of personnel
· Effective communicator, both up and down the chain of command
· A demonstrated track record of exceeding operational goals with a knack for influencing key stakeholders and experts to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results
· Commitment to strong work ethics, integrity, and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information
· Technology savvy with the ability to work with remote direct leadership and confidence to operate autonomously
Transportation & Accessibility:
· Must have reliable transportation to work
· Must have telephone or other reliable method of communicating with supervisor and co-workers
Hours
The workplace is the restaurant. As such, the majority of a Dave’s Hot Chicken FC’s time should be centered on restaurant visits and functions that support restaurant operations. One day per week should be used as an office/admin day. The remaining days of the week should be spent supporting restaurant operations in the field. The FC should also work 2 – 3 weekend days per month, in the field, supporting restaurant operations through restaurant visits.
· Must be able and willing to work flexible hours and will work as the workload dictates. This includes working weekends/nights whenever necessary.
· Must be present in office/restaurant at scheduled/necessary times Monday-Sunday and work no less than 8 hours/day
