At The Eatery, we take pride in serving freshly prepared, seasonal dishes in a relaxed and welcoming setting. We’re now looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our friendly team on a seasonal casual contract from November through December, with flexibility to work around 20 hours per week on average.

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a key role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. From keeping work areas spotless and organised to assisting with basic prep and deliveries, you’ll be an essential part of our back-of-house team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, friendly kitchen environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support chefs with basic food preparation and organisation

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas

• Wash and store kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes efficiently

• Assist with receiving and correctly storing deliveries

• Follow all food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures

• Carry out other reasonable tasks as required to support the kitchen team

Skills & Experience Required

• Basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards

• Reliable, hardworking, and a positive team player

• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

• Physically able to stand for long periods and carry out manual tasks

• Flexible and available to work throughout November and December
