The Eatery at Fenwick is part of the Absolute Taste family – a business built on a passion for exceptional food and service. Since 2003, Absolute Taste has delivered outstanding catering and hospitality experiences across restaurants, cafés, aviation, and luxury events.

At The Eatery, we take pride in serving freshly prepared, seasonal dishes in a relaxed and welcoming setting. We’re now looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly team on a casual contract, offering flexible hours to suit both you and the needs of the business.

The Role

As a Catering Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting both our kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience. You’ll assist with food preparation, service, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout The Eatery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support chefs with basic food preparation and portioning tasks

  • Assist with plating and presentation of dishes where required

  • Help serve food and drinks while providing a warm, welcoming service

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas

  • Restock counters, fridges, and display areas as needed

  • Follow all food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures

  • Assist with receiving, checking, and correctly storing deliveries

  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as required to support the wider team

Skills & Experience Required
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards

  • Friendly, approachable, and confident in customer-facing roles

  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work well under pressure

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Physically able to stand for long periods and carry out manual tasks

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if required

If you’re a motivated and adaptable team player who enjoys working with great food in a welcoming environment, we’d love to hear from you.
