Job Purpose

The Logistics Supervisor will support in the leadership and delivery of the multi-facetted catering project. The role reports to the Project Director and will have a broad scope across the whole operation through planning, mobilisation and execution whilst being responsible specifically (And not limited to) the teams that deliver BOH Operations and Logistic Operations.

The role is a varied and developing role and requires a candidate with understanding of catering Operations, ability to lead and develop teams.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assisting with project mobilisation plan
• Developing and embedding operational planning and systems
• Completing operational plans to ensure stock, product and equipment is stored, handled, managed correctly
• Bringing new operational ideas and service innovation into the business
• Developing and practicing operational SOPs
• Logistics planning 
• Responsible for all “non food item” provisions and inventories 
• Responsible for client assets and facilities – inc working with maintenance and cleaning teams
• Managing direct reports, developing their roles, ensuring responsibilities are defined and delivered
• Ensuring responsible management and supervision is in place
• Responsible for operational Health and Safety
• Being familiar with and complying with Food Safety standards
• Being resourceful in solving problems and challenges for the broader team

Qualifications and Skills

Good catering service credentials
Prove Catering Operations experience
Local industry knowledge and relationships
Demands consistently high standards of delivery
 Highly organized and willing to apply additional effort and time when required
Ability to motivate mixed teams, empower and lead others, utilise varying styles to manage up and down
Strong administration ability
Excellent manner – clearly spoken and strong written communication
Commercial aptitude
Absolute discretion and confidentiality
Self-motivated, strong ability to prioritise workload, work with others and alone
Absolutely dependable and reliable to fit into a strong team who rely upon each other
Resilient and highly resourceful
