Job Purpose:

The Assistant Outlet Manager is responsible for supervising the day-to-day food and beverage operation of the assigned Outlet in line with our joint vision, business plan, company guidelines and standard.  As well as the operational delivery, the Assistant Outlet Manager will assist the Outlet Manager with the fiscal control of cost of goods and labour budgets.

Our outlets include:  Cafe / Coffee bars, Employee Dining Restaurants and Staff Canteens

Duties and responsibilities

  •  Assist the Outlet Manager to deliver the objectives set and ensure the agreed standards in the Outlet operation are maintained at all time
  •  Implement and monitor the Food and Beverage plan
  •  Ensure the team are trained and ready to run the operation smoothly
  •  Assist the Outlet Manager in delivering budgeted P&L, make suggestion on improving sales and profits
  •  Control inventories
  •  Enforce established processes and procedures within the team
  •  Ensure the outlet operation is always meeting all food and health and safety standards
  •  Ensure the outlet operation is compliant with the relevant food and beverage regulatory requirements
  •  Maintain the outlet facility as a clean and safe environment
  •  Monitor daily the outlet operation to ensure a high-quality product and service are delivered to each and every customer
  •  Conduct regular team training to maintain high standards
  •  Schedule staff shifts to ensure sufficient workforce for the operation
  •  Obtain customer feedback and implement changes to improve the operation if needed
  •  Address customer queries courteously and ensure customer satisfaction
  •  Monitor and facilitate communication between the outlet and the CPU
  •  Deputize on behalf of the Outlet Manager in their absence

Work Experience

 Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Outlet Manager
 Mixed experience in high volume quality retail or fixed site catering
 Multi-site operations experience preferred
 Experience of managing large multi-cultural teams essential

Skills Required

 Confident and fluent in English communication, spoken and written
 Ability to illustrate experience of reporting and communicating with multiple stakeholders essential
 A true leader with presence and ability to command the team
 Proven ability to deliver training and always maintain consistent standards
 Full understanding of HACCP policy and procedure
 Full understanding of Health and Safety policy and procedure
 Solid knowledge of diverse food and beverage products essential
 A desire to do things differently, to challenge the norm to improve customer experiences
 Excellent customer service skills and standards and an eye for detail essential
 A strong problem solver with an ability to think on their feet and adapt to new circumstances
 Ability to spot opportunities to grow sales and/or become more efficient essential
 Experience in adhering to and driving company initiatives
 Experience with using F&B Software, excellent communicator with strong computer skills essential

Qualifications

 Diploma, undergraduate or graduate certificate minimum standard
 Hospitality, catering and business management quantification preferred
