KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE:

  • To provide professional finance and accounting support to the business
  • To assist with accurate reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  •  To ensure governance of all financial matters in line with accounting policy and DOA
  • To provide daily accounting practice including but not limited to, data entry, petty cash and expense management, accounts payable, accounts receivable functions, ledger and balance sheet management, payroll, banking and payment processes, cash flow management, supplier and customer onboarding and credit checking, creditor and debtor management.
  • Supporting the business with general administration, including but not limited to:  Diary management, HR record keeping, secure file management for official documents and employee files.  Market research and basic marketing and promotional activities, assisting with presentations and document generation.

  • SKILLS, STRENTHS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 
  • Food, catering or hospitality experience preferred
  • Understanding of basic accounting practice and bookkeeping skills
  • Experience of Xero book keeping software of similar
  • Commercial aptitude
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong administration ability – strong Word / Excel / Powerpoint skills
  • Excellent telephone and written manner – clear spoken and written communication
  • An understanding and desire to grow with in the hospitality / catering market
  • Self-motivated, strong ability to prioritise workload, work with others and alone
  • Dependable and reliable
