POSITION SUMMARY

Whisk away your culinary dreams as our Commis Chef and join our kitchen team at Delta Hotels by Marriott Peterborough. 

What you will do

• Work closely with our experienced chefs to prepare and execute a variety of dishes.
• Food preparation including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients to perfection.
• Follow instructions to ensure consistency and high quality presentation of dishes.
• Learn and develop cooking techniques under the guidance of our skilled chefs.
• Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely meal preparations.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a safe kitchen environment.

What we’re looking for 

• A passion for food and cooking for others.
• A team-player with a positive attitude and the desire to learn.
• A proactive, problem solving approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shift patterns including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: None required.
• License or Certification: None required
