What You'll Be DoingLead and manage all engineering and facilities operations across the hotel.

Drive preventative maintenance programmes and ensure engineering standards are consistently achieved.
Manage engineering technology platforms, including maintenance management systems and energy reporting tools.
Conduct regular property inspections and weekly hotel tours with operational leaders to identify maintenance, compliance, and guest experience improvements.
Oversee contractor performance and maintenance service agreements to maximise asset protection and operational efficiency.
Lead health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance initiatives across the property.
Develop and deliver energy reduction, sustainability, water conservation, and carbon reduction programmes.
Support the development and execution of capital expenditure plans and property improvement projects.
Respond effectively to operational emergencies and provide engineering leadership during critical incidents.
Analyse performance data and implement initiatives that improve guest satisfaction, productivity, and maintenance performance.
Build strong relationships with department leaders, ownership representatives, contractors, and external partners.
Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Minimum 2 years' experience in hotel facilities or engineering management.
Strong knowledge of building services, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Building Fabric, and Life Safety systems.
Experience managing preventative maintenance programmes, contractors, and compliance requirements.
Sound understanding of UK health and safety legislation and building compliance requirements.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
Proficiency in computer-based maintenance and facilities management systems.
Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction, or a related discipline.
Membership of a recognised facilities, engineering, building services, or construction professional body.
Experience with hotel maintenance management systems and engineering technology platforms.
Previous experience managing capital projects and sustainability initiatives within hospitality or commercial environments.
