The selected candidate will become a part of our brilliant F&B team who always strive to deliver the best service for our guests while working in a dynamic environment. In this role you will assist Food and Beverage Management in running the operation and supervising staff on a daily basis and you will be a key player in helping our guests make the most of their experience at the hotel. You will be an ambassador for Delta Hotels by Marriott, living our Purposeful Service culture in a warm, wise and in-control manner, never being in the way of guests but knowing when to be there for the moments that matter.
What you’ll be doing
Your role will be based at Delta Hotel by Marriott Heathrow Windsor based in our Market Kitchen Restaurant. As we work as ‘one team’ you will also be required to work in and supervise Brew Bar Lounge, Room Service, Executive Lounge and Conference and Banqueting. We are looking for an outgoing and energetic individual who aims to achieve excellent service and guest satisfaction every day, maintaining the high standards Marriott is known for. You will use your knowledge and skills to create memorable experiences for our guests whilst having the opportunity to develop and grow in order to build on your own career journey. · Serve as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties.
· Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards.
· Ensure that hourly employees are trained on company core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects of the job.
· Complete opening duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, including bank, and ensuring work area is clean and everything is in working order.
· Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, restocking items, and completing daily cleaning checklist.
· Assist your and other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
· Document any and all guest and employee incidents for management follow up.
· Inspect storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness. Complete scheduled inventories of supplies, food, and liquor.
· Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
· Collaborate with management to develop and carry-out ideas and procedures, and set goals to continuously improve department performance around guest and employee satisfaction scores.
· Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
