Our housekeeping team plays a key role in delivering a great guest experience by ensuring all areas of the hotel are clean, safe, and well-presented. We pride ourselves on being a supportive, friendly team where everyone works together to maintain high standards.

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Casual Public Area Housekeeping Assistant to join our team.

This role primarily focuses on cleaning and maintaining public areas and employee spaces, while also supporting the wider housekeeping team as needed, including guest rooms, linen duties, and general hotel upkeep.

Shifts are flexible and typically start from 7:00am, with some earlier starts from 5:00am depending on business needs.

• Clean and maintain public areas and employee spaces, including restrooms, corridors, and back-of-house areas
• Clean glass, mirrors, surfaces, and flooring using appropriate equipment and chemicals
• Empty waste bins and maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel
• Inspect furniture, fixtures, and lighting; report any damage or maintenance issues
• Replenish supplies and ensure all areas are well-presented
• Support housekeeping with bedroom cleaning, linen handling, and portering tasks when required
• Respond promptly to guest and team requests in a professional manner
• Follow all health & safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and cleaning materials
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve daily standards and targets

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred (hotel experience a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards
• Positive attitude and willingness to support across different tasks
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physically able to perform manual tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
• Flexible availability, including early mornings
