• Respond promptly and professionally to all sports and golf-related enquiries across the hotel portfolio.
• Convert reactive enquiries into confirmed bookings, maximizing revenue through upselling and strategic negotiation.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients in the sports and golf segments including teams, clubs, associations, governing bodies, and event planners.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts, and event orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and bookings in the CRM system.
• Ensure all group requirements, including room blocks, catering (where possible) and ancillary services are clearly handed over to hotel event management teams to ensure seamless service.
• Work closely with the relevant teams across the hotels within the portfolio and maintain good communication.
• Resolicitation calls
• Ensure understanding of hotel strategies and engage with relevant stakeholders within hotels.
• Liaise with Sales Managers and events teams on property when handing bookings across.
Executing the Sales and Marketing Strategy
• Up-sells products and services throughout the event process.
Managing Profitability
• Manages revenue and profitability associated with events.
• Forecasts group sleeping rooms and event revenue (catering and audio-visual) for his/her groups.
• Reviews billing and payments with clients to ensure smooth handover to events teams.
Providing Exceptional Customer Service
• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
• Handles guest problems and complaints.
• Makes presence known to customers at all times during the entire event process.
• Follows up with customer post-event where relevant in conjunction with hotel events team
• Strives to improve service performance.
• Sets a positive example for guest relations.
