We are currently recruiting for a Property Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations and team at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Waltham Abbey.  You will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance work is completed to company standards, supporting and mentoring team members and maintaining productivity across multiple projects.

Responsibilities: Here's what your journey with us entails: 

  • Manage the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
  • Prioritise tasks according to urgency, guest impact, compliance and operational health and safety.
  • Oversee all planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Be a visible presence around the hotel and maintain strong inter-departmental relationships with Heads of Departments.
  • To be aware of and comply with legal requirements and Company policies relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
  • Arrange and coordinate annual and quarterly service contracts and audits including fire systems, emergency lighting, boiler servicing, and water systems.
  • Support team engagement, inter-department communication and day to day supervision of the maintenance team.
  • Establish, manage and maintain an effective rooms maintenance program.
  • Manage the department’s controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Assist in effectively planning, scheduling and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
  • Manage outside contractors while at the hotel.

  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to the manager
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Communicate with others using clear and professional language
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Support the team to reach common goals
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
