We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to join our exceptional Front Office team at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Liverpool City Centre. About the Role

As Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s night operations, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and associates. You’ll lead the night team, maintain brand standards, and ensure seamless service delivery in the absence of senior management.

40 hours per week over 5 working days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and management cover during night hours
  • Supervise and support front office staff, ensuring smooth overnight operations
  • Conduct regular security checks and patrols to maintain a safe environment
  • Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
  • Oversee the Night Audit process and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Maximise revenue through upselling and effective rate management
  • Maintain Marriott brand standards and ensure SOPs are followed
  • Lead emergency procedures and coordinate evacuations if necessary
  • Ensure staff training and development is up to date and effective
  • Monitor productivity and address underperformance
  • Maintain accurate rotas and time sheets
  • Support other departments to ensure overall guest satisfaction

Candidate Profile

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a hotel front office environment preferred
  • Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and listening
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Innovative and solutions-focused
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Business awareness and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera, MARSHA, and Micros
  • Understanding of hotel credit policies and financial procedures
  • Ability to manage guest ledgers and ensure accurate billing
  • Knowledge of health & safety, fire, and emergency procedures
  • Ability to carry out all receptionist and telephonist duties
