Responsibilities: Here's what your journey with us entails:

  • Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical, hydraulic or electrical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment including, diesel-, electric- and gasoline-powered machines, mowers, rollers, tractors, small 2-stroke machines and other mechanical equipment used in utility work.
  • Works as part of the department leadership team, in the training of equipment operators regarding preventive maintenance, and the proper cleaning of, and respectful operation of equipment.
  • Maintains a preventive maintenance program within budget on all equipment and accurately purchases repair parts and replacement supplies.
  • Keeps complete records for equipment and parts inventory purchases, stock levels, equipment condition, costs of repairs and preventive maintenance for all equipment.
  • Spot checks equipment for performance on the course, makes emergency repairs to equipment on the course, and services equipment prior to use. 
  • When needed, performs other duties as directed by the Golf Course Manager or Deputy Golf Course Manager 
  • To be involved in the recommendation of equipment replacement purchases.

Safety and Company Policies:

  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Support the team to reach common goals.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

  • Qualifications in welding and chainsaw maintenance
  • Mechanical experience required (preferably 2 years)
  • Possession of valid driving license
