Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Senior Events Manager to lead the Events and Reactive Sales function at Delta Hotels by Marriott St Pierre Country Club on a full-time basis.

The Role: As Senior Events Manager, you will lead and inspire the Events Sales team, overseeing the full client journey from enquiry through to event planning and operational handover. You will play a key leadership role in maximising event revenue, driving conversion performance, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across all market segments.

This role requires a commercially focused leader with strong operational awareness and a passion for developing a high-performing team. You will oversee a broad portfolio of events including corporate functions, weddings, social events, group bookings, and golf-related business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Events Sales team to achieve high conversion rates and outstanding customer service standards.
  • Drive performance against hotel group, meetings, and banqueting revenue targets.
  • Manage and oversee all high-value and complex event enquiries.
  • Ensure site visit standards and sales processes are consistently delivered to maximise conversion opportunities.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance activities including monthly test calls and coaching sessions.
  • Chair weekly operational planning meetings, ensuring all departments are fully briefed on upcoming events and client expectations.
  • Support the Director of Sales in implementing key sales initiatives, including closing days and demand-generation campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Revenue Management teams to develop strategic pricing and event space utilisation plans.
  • Ensure enquiry response times and service level agreements are consistently achieved.
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities and communicate commercial insights to the leadership team.
  • Produce weekly performance reports, analyse trends, and present key findings during strategy meetings.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a senior events or reactive sales leadership role within a hotel environment. You will be highly commercial, organised, and passionate about delivering memorable experiences while driving revenue performance.
