  • Career Development: Opportunities for career growth and internal transfers within Marriott's global network.
  • Training and Development: Access to training programs to enhance your skills and advance your career.

Role purpose

To lead the St Pierre commercial office, ensuring every inbound enquiry is handled quickly, converted profitably, recorded accurately and handed over seamlessly. The role manages reservations and specialist event sales execution while maintaining disciplined pipelines, commercial controls and consistent client service.

Key accountabilities

  • Supporting with accurate Banquet and Group forecasting.
  • Owning the financials and ensuring together with the commercial director you are motivating the team to work collectively towards achieving the hotels financial goals.
  • Attending management meetings weekly and providing key sales updates.
  • Management of hotels enquiries and running of key high-value accounts and other event bookings as required.
  • Lead, coach and performance-manage the 5 executive roles, setting response, conversion, follow-up, accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Own the daily commercial-office workflow, allocating enquiries and resources according to demand, deadlines, client value and team capacity.
  • Maintain a single, accurate pipeline across reservations, golf and groups, weddings, conferences and social events, with clear ownership and next actions.
  • Translate the Commercial Director’s strategy and the Cluster Revenue Manager’s pricing guidance into consistent enquiry handling and system execution.
  • Monitor response times, conversion, pace, lost-business reasons, provisional bookings, deposits, payments and final-detail deadlines; intervene early where risks arise.
  • Coordinate weekly office reviews and provide concise performance reporting, forecasts, risks and recovery actions to the Commercial Director.
  • Ensure proposals, contracts, booking terms, credit arrangements, function details and handovers meet agreed commercial and operational standards.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to receive, progress and report proactive leads and to identify wider account opportunities from inbound enquiries.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling across bedrooms, golf, dining, leisure, meetings and event enhancements while protecting guest trust and deliverability.
  • Maintain accurate PMS, CRM, sales and event-system data, completing regular quality checks and resolving process or training gaps.
  • Coordinate closely with operational department heads on capacity, event feasibility, service recovery, VIP requirements and post-event learning.
  • Manage office rotas, payroll and controllable costs within budget, ensuring coverage for appointments, showcases and peak enquiry periods.

Knowledge, experience and behaviours

  • Commercial-office, reservations, event-sales or M&E leadership experience in a hotel, resort or venue.
  • Strong people leadership and ability to establish clear standards and accountability.
  • Commercially numerate with confident analysis of conversion, pace, pipeline and profitability.
  • Excellent organisation, accuracy and calm prioritisation across competing deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of PMS, CRM and event-management systems.
  • Flexible to support client appointments, showcases and peak event periods.

Shared service and compliance responsibilities

  • Act as a positive ambassador for St Pierre, demonstrating professional, inclusive and guest-focused behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively across departments, raise risks early and take ownership of agreed solutions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies, brand standards, data protection, payment security and all relevant health and safety obligations.
  • Take ownership of personal development and contribute to continuous improvement.
