Job Summary:

The Hotel Sales Leader is responsible for driving top-line revenue through strategic sales initiatives, account management, and market penetration. This role oversees the hotel’s sales department, develops strong relationships with clients, and collaborates with operations to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to increase hotel occupancy and revenue across all segments (group, corporate, leisure, etc.).

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and cold calling.

  • Maintain and grow existing accounts by providing exceptional service and creating customized sales solutions.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve performance goals.

  • Conduct regular sales calls, site visits, and presentations to potential clients and partners.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer data to adjust sales strategies.

  • Collaborate with revenue management and marketing to optimize pricing, promotions, and distribution.

  • Prepare and present monthly/quarterly sales reports and forecasts to hotel leadership.

  • Represent the hotel at industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.

  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and service levels.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • 3–5+ years of hotel sales experience; leadership or management experience is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of local and national sales markets.

  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to lead by example and foster a results-driven, collaborative team culture.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with hotel systems and sales tools.

  • Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (CHSP) or similar credential.

  • Familiarity with revenue management and hotel operations.
