Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter with basic food preparation knowledge to support our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while assisting chefs with simple food prep tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently

  • Keep kitchen areas, storage spaces, and work surfaces clean and hygienic

  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including:

    • Washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables

    • Preparing simple ingredients and portioning items

  • Dispose of waste properly and follow recycling procedures

  • Support stock rotation and basic deliveries when required

  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations

  • Assist with end-of-shift and deep cleaning duties

  • Work as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen service

Requirements & Skills
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or similar role preferred but not essential

  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Good time management and attention to detail

  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods

  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
