Casual Chef
Are you passionate about delivering great food in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a motivated and reliable Chef to join our team here at Delta Hotels by Marriott Country Club in our Tempo Sports Bar.
Tempo Sports Bar is a vibrant venue serving high-quality food in a relaxed and energetic atmosphere. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their section, working independently, and consistently delivering excellent food standards.
What is required:
- Preparing and cooking menu items to the highest standards and according to company specifications.
- Ensuring food is prepared, presented and served consistently and on time.
- Maintaining excellent food quality and presentation standards set by the Head Chef.
- Managing your workstation efficiently and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment.
- Working independently during trading periods and taking responsibility for kitchen operations when lone working.
- Supporting busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail and food quality.
- Ensuring all food is stored, labelled and rotated correctly in line with food safety regulations.
- Completing daily cleaning duties and maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and wash-up areas.
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting stock rotation and waste control procedures.
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.
- Following all food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures at all times.
- Reporting maintenance issues, accidents and safety concerns promptly and appropriately.
- Participating in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
- Ability to work confidently both as part of a team and independently.
- Comfortable with lone working and taking responsibility for kitchen operations during quieter periods.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
- A positive attitude and passion for delivering great food and guest experiences.
