Casual Chef 

Are you passionate about delivering great food in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a motivated and reliable Chef to join our team here at Delta Hotels by Marriott Country Club in our Tempo Sports Bar.

Tempo Sports Bar is a vibrant venue serving high-quality food in a relaxed and energetic atmosphere. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their section, working independently, and consistently delivering excellent food standards.

What is required:
  • Preparing and cooking menu items to the highest standards and according to company specifications.
  • Ensuring food is prepared, presented and served consistently and on time.
  • Maintaining excellent food quality and presentation standards set by the Head Chef.
  • Managing your workstation efficiently and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment.
  • Working independently during trading periods and taking responsibility for kitchen operations when lone working.
  • Supporting busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail and food quality.
  • Ensuring all food is stored, labelled and rotated correctly in line with food safety regulations.
  • Completing daily cleaning duties and maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and wash-up areas.
  • Monitoring stock levels and supporting stock rotation and waste control procedures.
  • Ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.
  • Following all food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures at all times.
  • Reporting maintenance issues, accidents and safety concerns promptly and appropriately.
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work confidently both as part of a team and independently.
  • Comfortable with lone working and taking responsibility for kitchen operations during quieter periods.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene.
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
  • A positive attitude and passion for delivering great food and guest experiences.
