**We’re proud winners of the AA Small Hotel Group of the year 2024-25, rated as a Top 30 Best Place to Work in Hospitality 2025 by The Caterer, and recently crowned Best Employer at the Springboard Awards for Excellence 2025**
**Bovey Castle has been awarded LARGE HOTEL OF THE YEAR (2024) by Devon Tourism**
What you’ll be doing?
As an Outdoor Activities Instructor, you will be teaching our guests various country pursuits including air rifle shooting, clay pigeon shooting and fly fishing. Experience in these fields is preferred, however further training can be given onsite.
The ideal candidate would have a love of the great outdoors and a good level of fitness as you will also be setting up and closing down the activities, a shot gun license would be beneficial, driving license and transport is a must.
You will need to be comfortable and confident teaching adults and children who are experiencing these activities for the first time when they are staying with us.
Hours can vary depending on the demands of the hotel, during the holiday periods there will be the opportunity for more hours as the hotel is at its busiest and will include weekends.
The Hotel is open 365 days of the year so there is the potential for work all year round.
**Please note: as this is a casual role, we do not have live-in staff accommodation available**
