The Role

We’re looking for a confident, experienced Duty Manager to join the team at Adam & Eve, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, music-led pub and leads from the front.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be running shifts, closing the building, and setting the tone for service every day. Whether it’s a packed night of live music, a busy garden in summer, or training up the next generation of bartenders, you’re across it all.

You’ll take ownership of standards, people and performance. From stock and compliance to guest experience and team development, you’ll know what “good” looks like...and won’t let it slip.

We’ll support you with training (including Personal Licence and WSET), but we expect you to bring leadership, accountability and a genuine passion for hospitality.

What we’re looking for

• A natural leader who gets the best out of people
• Proven experience running busy bar shifts independently
• A hands-on approach, you’re as comfortable on the bar as you are managing the floor
• Strong understanding of stock control, compliance and H&S
• Energy, resilience and a sense of fun
• A genuine love for pubs, people, and live music

Dating back to the mid-18th century, Adam & Eve is a cornerstone of the Homerton community. A proper East London pub with a big personality, think live music, a buzzing garden (covered in winter), booth seating, and the infamous L-shaped pool table.
