What we're looking for:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable team player who will enjoy being the first point of contact for deliveries to the hotel. You must be presentable, professional, and upbeat. We are looking for someone who is comfortable accepting deliveries, checking them against invoices/orders, delivering the goods to the correct department and ensuring that they are stored securely. You will also be required to record all deliveries and returns, and highlight credit note items to the Accounts department; whilst producing accurate and timely management reports as required.

This is a part time role, working 24 hours per week.

Example key duties:

Check all deliveries for the hotel against the invoice or purchase order to ensure the correct items, quantity, and quality is delivered.

Deliver the items to the correct department, following internal policies and standard operating procedures (SOP’s).

Manage quality by checking food items for freshness, correct delivery temperature, and correct items delivered. Put all food items away in the designated Kitchen / stores area and ensure all areas are secure at all times. 

Ensure correct protective clothing is worn in each area.

Highlight missing items with delivery driver and inform accounts to obtain a credit note. 

Ensure everything is counted and checked before delivery is accepted and delivered to the departments.

Always reject poor quality items whatever they may be, do not accept any poor quality substitute items unless it has been agreed with the department manager or senior management team.
