What you’ll be doing?

It’s a special moment in time at Brockencote Hall Hotel – the most intimate of our Eden Hotel Collection, but one with real character, soul and ambition. With a loyal following, a beautifully maintained estate, and a kitchen proudly delivering 3 AA Rosette dining, Brockencote is poised for its next chapter.

We’re looking for a General Manager who’s ready to take the next step in their career, and someone with a genuine passion for fine dining and five-star hospitality. You’ll be inheriting an exceptional team that blends long-standing talent with up-and-coming leaders from our development programme – and we’re proud to say we’ve created a culture where people thrive.

We’re a business that truly believes in developing its people.  In fact, our current General Managers have celebrated 11 promotions between them and an average tenure of 12 years – a proud statistic for us and something we’re committed to continuing.

As General Manager, your focus will be on continuing to deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintaining our reputation for fine food, heartfelt service, and beautiful surroundings. You’ll also have the opportunity to make your commercial mark – from weddings to events, and F&B to occupancy – supported by a strong team and central support functions.

With the hotel fully operational 5 days out of 7 days each week, it’s one of those rare roles in hospitality where quality of life and career ambition can genuinely go hand in hand.

What you’ll need

  • Proven recent experience as General/Hotel Manager or you could be a DGM with significant experience within a red star luxury hotel environment, to 3 AA Rosette food standards.
  • Financially astute with a keen eye for numbers, you will be driven by the desire to maximise sales and profitability, delivering this through creative sales and marketing activity.  Whilst this may be a developing skill, it’s a key one to drive our commercial success

·       People are our biggest asset and so you will be a natural motivator demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, with proven results at recognising and developing talent to retain your team. Like most hospitality business’ in today’s market, we are focused on creating a modern workplace and culture that lends itself to great people retention and a reputation for being a leading employer in the local area.

·       A commercial mindset with the ability to spot and unlock revenue opportunities

·       You will be highly credible with the ability to develop relationships across all levels of the business, using this to influence business success and to work in collaboration with our support office.

  • A genuine passion for hospitality, with guest satisfaction at the heart of every decision you make.
  • Experience within a strong weddings environment would be an advantage.
